Stargazing in Pembrokeshire Dark Skies at Hillfort

“Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful…”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Recent guest photos taken right here at Hillfort...

including rare Aurora Borealis moments.

What you can see on a clear night

This is a quiet, low-light setting where the sky gets space to show off. Depending on conditions, you may see:

  • Brilliant moonscapes and cloud-lit nights

  • Constellations and the Milky Way on darker, clearer evenings

  • Shooting stars during peak meteor showers

  • Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis): (rare!), but possible in strong solar activity (we’ve captured it on camera here)

Note: Aurora sightings are never guaranteed: they’re weather and solar-activity dependent.
