FAQs
Each Yurt is equipped with:
– Kitchen hut completed with pots/pans/cutlery/crockery and a camping stove with the gas provided. We do not provide cool boxes.
– Firepit. We do not provide charcoal and fire logs. You can purchase fire logs at our site.
– Picnic bench.
– Battery-powered light bulbs.
– Double bed, double sofa bed and single futons/single bed and a table and chairs.
– We do not provide bedding.
There is a strict NO FIRE rule (no candles, no smoking, etc.) in the yurt for your health and safety. Thank you for your understanding.
GROUP SIZES
The yurt is 6m in diameter so there is plenty of space for a group of 4 adults or 6 people ( 4 adults with 2 children). The yurt is set up with a double bed, a couple of sofa beds and a dining area. We cater for many different groups (young families/older families/ groups of friends/couples) and can alter the layout and furniture to suit upon request, please feel free to contact us and will see how we can help.
OUTDOOR AREA
The yurt is in its own private clearing with a picnic bench and a kitchen hut complete with pots, pans, cutlery, camping stoves etc. A fire pit with a grill top is provided for campfire cooking. It’s the perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset.
Firewood (price to be confirmed) and kindling (price to be confirmed) are available, we’ll deliver it right to your door.
PETS
We are a family-friendly campsite and whether the extension of your family has two legs or four we want to see them on our site! The yurts have large expanses of field and heather dedicated to your glamping experience so they should have plenty of space to let loose. Supervision is however your priority.
Please bear in mind that we do not allow dogs to stay on any of the furniture inside of the Yurt. The is an additional cleaning charge of £10 if you are bringing a pet with you.
Sea View Yurt
The Sea View Yurt is situated in a stunning location in its own private area at the top of our campsite. It has one of the best and most effortless views of the beautiful Strumble Head and also what we believe is the best sunset in Pembrokeshire as the sun sinks into the Irish Sea. By effortless, we mean that this view is attainable by taking one step out of your yurt door! If you’re feeling a little more energetic there is a rocky outcrop 50 yards to your right to give an excellent perspective of the yurt, coast, sea and skyscapes. Out to your left with a bit more of a walk in the very own mountain and Iron Age hillfort from which you have a complete 360-degree view of the Pembrokeshire national parks amazing coastline and a watchman view back over the campsite.
Garn Fechan Yurt
The Garn Fechan yurt is situated in its own private field, being separate from the main body of the campsite, giving you that much more freedom.
As you step out of the door of the yurt you are greeted by the Hillforts Garn Fechan rocky outcrop and as you look down the coastline you understand why the Pembrokeshire coastline is so revered. The pitch has its own private space with a cosy kitchen, picnic bench, fire pit and seated area for your group to enjoy. There is plenty of space for us to look at accepting other tents or erecting a bell tent if you are part of a bigger group. Just let us know.
Hillfort Yurt
Our Hillfort yurt is situated in its own private enclave, having a large circular area of grass hidden behind the gorse, with enough space to park your car, have a fire, play games and relax at your private picnic bench. The yurt stands at an access point to several of the snaking footpaths that run up the small mountain behind, Garn Fechan. So we thought we’d call it Hillfort yurt as it stands guard of these trails.
The Katey’s Corner Yurt
This yurt is nestled in our middle field, amongst our gorse, with a nice private and sheltered area for your group to enjoy the uninhibited sun, from sunrise to sunset. There is plenty of room in the field, to park up, enjoy your private fire pit and picnic bench and serve food from your private kitchen. We have given a generous amount of space for each pitch to give everyone enough privacy. You are in the shortest distance to a footpath that takes you to the top of Garn Fechan Hill, where our Hillfort is situated with amazing 360-degree views of Pembrokeshire!
